I worked at this school from Oct 2004/May 2005. Although much time has passed, I still recoil and shiver when I recollect the treatment I received from the owner of that school. Needless to say, the earnings I was promised were unachievable (hours were averaged over quiet times and busier times, so teachers were effectively 'in debt' when the school had no business). Any illness suffered was treated as a gross inconvenience to the school, but the greatest, most disgusting treatment I received was when a close friend of mine died and my request to attend the funeral was treated as 'yet another hassle'. There are some people, like the man at this school, running their businesses dressed as wolves in sheeps' clothing. I would urge any teacher considering employment at this school to look elsewhere. There are some very fine schools operating under the British Schools name in Italy and you would be much better treated elsewhere.
