Pre-employment background checks have really seen a huge increase in usage over the last several years in the US. It seems like many job require a background check before they will hire you. It’s just not in the US. The TEFL world is buzzing with these background checks. Some countries, such as Korea, now require a criminal background check before they will process your visa. Other countries like Thailand and Vietnam are discussing similar measures. It’s a good way to protect children in direct contact with teachers.

With so many people jumping on the bandwagon, businesses and schools can get left behind if they do not put together similar employment background checks. That’s where SentryLink comes in. They help people get criminal checks done on individuals before they are put into positions of trust. The background checks they do are done quickly and easily. Not only can you run a criminal check, you can also run credit checks and property checks. It means that you are able to put together a good amount of background information on a person before they are hired.

For those looking for work, it’s a great idea to have the checks run yourself before going out and looking for a job so that you’ll know what information there is about yourself. It could be very useful to make copies of the reports and give to potential employers to show that you are a quality employee. Just some thoughts.
