After a day or two break, it’s time to resume our journey into the Latin American citizenship and the different requirements of each country. This time we are looking at Paraguay citizenship. Paraguay is an interesting country in South America. It offers many unique opportunities and is well off the tourist trail. Uruguay is an agriculturally rich country in South America. Not only does it have very liberal permanent residency laws, but its citizenship laws are equally as liberal and welcoming. Citizenship In Ecuador

It’s time for another Latin American country and its citizenship laws. I am sure some of you are wondering why I am making all of this information available. Here’s the reason. Many TEFLers are looking to make a long term move out of the US and are looking for a place to put down long term roots. It’s a lot easier to make long term roots if you have citizenship. At least with these countries listed, it’s easier to know if they are welcoming or not so welcoming.

Citizenship In Argentina

In our tour of citizenship laws in various Latin American countries, we now turn our attention to Argentina. Argentina is a nation of immigrants and this reflects in their rather liberal citizenship laws. The laws are such as to encourage people to adopt Argentine citizenship. Of course in practice, it may be different, but at least the law seems rather straightforward.

Citizenship in Chile

I have previously posted about citizenship in Brazil and Bolivia. Now it’s time to give information on citizenship in Chile. One thing that is interesting to note is that those countries with a history of more immigrants tend to have easier pathways to citizenship. I was a little surprised by the slightly more restrictive citizenship laws in Chile. I’d love to hear your comments on it.

Citizenship In Brazil

I have prepared up the citizenship rules of several different countries. Brazil has pretty straightforward rules for obtaining citizenship and that means that seeking Brazilian citizenship could be very positive thing for teachers thinking about living and working in Brazil.
