I was talking earlier about things you need to pay attention to when you open up a business. I mentioned nice furniture and a good location. Another thing that should be mentioned as well is making sure that you can take credit cards. This means having a decent merchant service to handle your credit cards and get you back money ASAP. So many people forget this very important thing.
Looks Do Matter
When I first starting looking at having my own English language school, one of the first things I looked for was a quality location. The second thing I looked for was good office furniture. I knew that looks counted for a lot when people looked at where to take English classes. I know that might not make much sense to teachers, but it certainly does bear thinking about when you think about doing your own freelance teaching. Looks do matter.
