This school is your typical EF chain school. The emphasis is on making money first and teaching English second. I’ve read a few negative comments from others who have taught for this school or one of its ’sister’ schools. (There are four EFs owned by
one couple.)
I found that I was worked moderately hard by the school, teaching 25 hours most weeks. I sometimes had ‘only’ 16 hours in a week, but other times taught as many as 30!
The school supplied a reasonable amount of (pirated) supplemental materials, DVD, and even had a small computer lab. The staff were fairly efficient.
Although some of my co-workers butted heads with the admin, IMHO it was often more the fault of the ignorant foreigner than of the school. I tried to be reasonable with the school, and was treated fairly.
After one year I was eager to leave - not so much because the school was a problem, but because I found Jakarta to be a filthy city with horrendous traffic and pollution.
This might make a good first job when you start off with no experience - but once you get a year of teaching under your belt, you can do a lot better.
I rate this school about a 3 out of 5.
