International Flair In The Home

A few weeks ago, we had a topic come up in class about something that at first glance seemed rather mundane. It was about decorative hardware of all things and how so many different styles are seen throughout the world.

You can see an example of it on the right. You can see that there are many different styles that can be used on cabinets, drawers, dressers, doors, and even shutters. Kind of amazing, isn’t it? That’s what I thought.

Like many things I went home and start researching decorative hardware just a little more and came across the site call invitinghome.com. In fact the picture on the right comes from their site. They have an amazing collection of decorative hardware that really knocks your socks off. Doubt it? Take a close look at the picture and see just a few of the amazing styles. Wouldn’t they look awesome in your home? They even have a special design center.

Naturally, they have a lot more than just shutters and decorative hardware, they have a full selection of things for the home that can truly create an international flair. If you are like me, after coming back from abroad, I wanted to have my home reflect my previous lifestyle and travels. I think it might be easy to do with some of the items found on invitinghome.com.

Anyways, I still think the decorative hardware is awesome!
