Bottom line, the school is run by Chinese-Thai, who have a contruction/development company. No one has an education background. Does this give you a clue?

I actually know a few guys working at this place. I expect they will have quite a lot to say this time next week when term finishes here!

Sounds like an absolute hellhole as far as I hear it!

kpisguy - perhaps you could explain why foreign teachers are so unhappy?

Wow, reading these posts has completely terrified me. I have an phone interview with the school soon, but should I be having second thoughts? I’m a new teacher…

keera-pat is good school, I believe the deal is fair, we are not forced to sign the contract if we don’t like it. some teachers didn’t understand of cross cultures between western and eastern so if you are ready to adapt yourself with new environment in Thai, you should respect their culture and their country too, friends! not just the way you are.

I have been here from the begining and even I hate everything about the school. It is about time for something new.

i have been at this school for a couple of years now and i am so furious about how its run….i have a science lab which is completly insufficiant, a monkey couldnt learn in here.
also as i am a special individual (gay) i feel like the other teachers pay me no respect and im sick of it! The admin at the school are laughable at best and all they do is lie…yes we sign a cintract and no body makes us, but what we sign and how you think are two different situations.
come to this school only if your new and just need soime extra cash…
p.s. i have steel sinks in a science lab!!!!!

I have visited the school several times. I have also talked to people that used to work for KPIS, that said it’s a total joke to work there.

I thought the school was nice at least from what I saw. I went for an interview and they offered me a lot lower salary than expats coming from the U.S..
I guess they are quite desperate for teachers, as they called me again to offer me more salary. I thought it was very unprofessional to not have given me what I deserved the 1st interview, that’s another reason why I decided not to take the job! Also they said I could leave at a time that was not on the contract..

you are backing yourself for job interview. did you really get offer from school? As I know some teachers were not qualified but they really need the job because they could go nowhere. I’m not sure wheter you get a job for now, if not, I suggest you go to bilingual school which still looking for so so teachers !

to kpis teacher 2: yes I signed the contract and backed out the same day. I just smelled too many rats, especially when you come to this website, and read what others have posted about the school.
whether the comments are true or false, it would lead people in the direction to look elsewhere, where they will get what is promised and agreed to. As for looking for a job, I already have one, thanks for letting me know that others are hiring elsewhere.

The school last term in my opinion was ok i personally enjoyed it and was treated well. Since being back everything has gone to the wall. We are treated like slaves now and talked at with disrespect on a daily basis. The head is an alcholic madman who is making life impossible for all of us. Also due to his relationship (his live in partner) the scince teacher he favors him and only him.
    god save us

I agree this is a bad school to work at. my experience working there was awful. the best thing i did was to leave and work in a real school enviroment. not to be recommended

you should report this school to the Labor Department for inside inspection. if you know of a way to report them to WASC, that might be better. more than 50% of the teaching staff must agree that the school is performing below WASC Accreditation Standards, and that the teachers/staff are not treated fairly. do what you can to make the school aware of what they’re doing wrong, otherwise there’s no point to complain on this website. they need to be faced with a warning by the MOE, WASC or Labor Dept. before they’re going to realize that they’re not running a proper school. they’re cheating their taxes too, by registering their real esate co; under the school name…… that alone is enough to get closed down….
