I worked for Language Services for the 2nd term of the 2010-2011 school year. They are a real company and did help me when I first got to Thailand. They helped me get from the airport to their office. They drove me up to the school I was placed at--because it was way out in the bush--and helped me get an apartment.

But I have complaints about them:

1) They did not pay me my full salary my last month. They waited until the week before my last paycheck and asked me if I was interested in working for them next year. I said probably not because I wanted to work in a different place. So they didn't pay me my whole salary. They deducted 20% of my last months pay.

2) They are a recruiting/placement agency. But, they are a bit shady. I figured they were charging a reasonable amount of money for their service. To me: that would be 10%, 20%, maybe even 25%. What do they charge? Above 50%. The deal they made with my school I found out to be typical. They charged my school 66,000 Baht per month, telling them that is how much it would take to get a foreign teacher. Then they hired three guys before me (who all quit), and paid them 20,000 baht per month. Then they hired me and paid me 30,000 baht per month. What made it a big problem was that they told the school they were paying us 50,000+ per month.

OVERALL: They screwed me and one of my friends who also worked for them. It wasn't a horrible screwing, but still, it was a screwing. I wish I had not ever worked for them.
