I taught at PPS when the “mini E-Program” first opened. I was one of three teachers who helped to start the program. Although I did not particularly care for the town of Phitsanulok, I have to say that the Thai staff members, particularly Wanida and Tim, went well out of their way to help us to get settled. The school administration handled the program, the student and the teachers with great respect. Almost every need that we (the farang teachers) had was sorted out (work permits, housing, transportation, extra work at Tim’s language school, asking a big shot friend to give my girlfriend a job at the local department store). They really went beyond the scope of their jobs quite a bit. I did teach at the main school, and that was a bit of a nightmare (think classes of 40+ poorly disciplined kids in un-air-conditioned rooms), however the e-program was a very rewarding experience.

I recently visited the town of Phitsunlok and enjoyed the tranquility of the little city. I had a type of charm to it. I am interested in doing the TESOL course. After i would like to get experience and be placed in a school within Phitsanulok. I prefer this place over bangkok due to bangkok being to overcrowded and and feel Phitsanulok would be a less stressful environment. How shall i go about achieving placement specifically there? I also have no experience and have worked in the hospitality industry all my life and would like a change to something potentially more rewarding for the long term rather than on the spot customer service satisfaction.
help please Andre….
