To all of you poor souls struggling at S.B.S.

You should all have a contract. Thailand does have and enforces labour laws. You simply need to pay for a lawyer and go to court. If your grievances are legit then all of the things that you have been short-changed on will be reimbursed, plus legal fees, plus a bit more.

I just left Sarasas Rom Klao where a half a dozen teachers have sued and won. Even the ones with no work permit , on cash, even they won.

So , if you're that upset, sort it out and good luck.

Yeah, maybe some of this was true but most of the people on here wouldn't be happy at any job in Thailand because they just don't know what it means to go with the flow. Every school has problems and Satit, as a new school, had quite a few but for self-starters who work well on their own initiative, it's quite a nice place to work for many people and the shame is that those people never post on these websites to say that, only people who are unhappy do that. They pay teachers over the going rate and teaching loads are twenty or less contact hours a week for most people. They also give massive holiday on full pay, much more so than most schools. Many of the problems are no different to anywhere else. I'm not saying it's heaven but to read all of the above posts might lead you to believe that SBS is hell and it certainly isn't.

I live and teach in the Rangsit area. I have my BBA (30 years as a businessman, my TOSEL and a year of teaching in Thailand. When I filled out the application at Satit, the secretary at HR responded to my inquiry about openings with ,"Oh we have many, many". After no calls in 10 days , I called the HR director .....who informed me that he was not sure about any openings until he knew what teachers were returning.
Should avoid this place? Is the pay over 40K/month?
Thank you,
